Bachelor's in Biochemistry
Introduction
Biochemistry is a Bachelor program taught at Susquehanna University, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.
Susquehanna University’s Biochemistry major focuses on chemistry and biology at the cellular and molecular level. Students study topics such as cell biology and genetics, the structure and reactivity of matter, analytical methods, and physical chemistry. Core biochemistry work includes proteins and enzymes, as well as the biochemistry of metabolism.
The program includes lecture and laboratory coursework across general chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, and biochemistry. Students also complete research experience with a faculty member on an individual investigation of a novel problem in chemistry or biochemistry, and they attend a seminar with weekly meetings to report on current chemical research literature. Students can personalize their path with an ACS-certified track or an ASBMB-accredited track.
