Bachelor's in Computer Science

The Computer Science major at Susquehanna University includes study from the math that underlies computation to the design of new algorithms, software, and programming languages. Students can prepare for roles as a computer scientist or a software engineer through computer problem-solving methods and algorithmic development, along with object-oriented programming, data structures, computer organization, and algorithms.

Courses are organized into degree pathways for a Computer Science B.A. and a Computer Science B.S. Students take foundational computer science and mathematics courses, then complete program electives. As a senior, students can pursue an in-depth research project with a faculty mentor. Students also complete work such as individual research and presentation in the Senior Colloquium, and they can earn academic credit for summer internships.
