Introduction

Masters Construction and Engineering Technology Degrees is a Masters program taught at University of North Texas, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

This combined degree connects a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology (BSET) with a Master of Science (M.S.) in Engineering Technology within the Construction Engineering Technology (CNET) program in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. It builds a foundation in mathematics, science, engineering, and general education, and uses advanced applications of technology to solve practical engineering problems. The program develops skills in construction methods and materials, computer aided design, structures, construction management, construction scheduling and control, and construction contracts and laws.

The M.S. program includes a specialization through selecting courses within the major. Students can choose a non-thesis integrative course option, a non-thesis project option, or a thesis option. Students also select one of three concentrations: Construction Management, Engineering Management, or Mechanical Systems. Courses are delivered on campus, and the credit hours listed for the combined program are 154-157.

Graduates of the Master of Science in Engineering Technology (MSET) can pursue roles such as design engineers, mechanical engineers, quality assurance engineers, manufacturing engineers, and product managers. The program also describes options for entrepreneurship, including establishing new companies within service-providing industries or within product design and development.
