PhD Electrical Engineering Degrees
Introduction
PhD Electrical Engineering Degrees is a PhD program taught at University of North Texas, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (7-8 years) options.
UNT offers a combined Bachelor of Science and Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering. Students study electrical engineering through a project-oriented program that integrates theoretical concepts with practical work in electrical, electronic, and embedded systems. The Ph. D. track includes an integrated entrepreneurship requirement focused on intellectual property and patent development, and students also earn a minor in Entrepreneurship from the G. Brint Ryan College of Business.
The program is on campus and uses hands-on instruction supported by engineering laboratories. These include laboratories for analog and mixed-signal design and simulation, autonomous systems, communications and signal processing, embedded sensing and processing, environmental and ecological engineering, optimization and control algorithm research, and power electronics and renewable energy.
Students also have access to the Materials Research Facility, the UNT Nanofabrication Cleanroom, and the Center for Advanced Scientific Computing and Modeling. Coursework includes design projects and learning-to-learn experiences taught jointly by industry and university personnel.
Graduates are prepared to conduct research and also work in companies developing computers, semiconductor integrated circuits and devices, telecommunications systems, aerospace and aviation systems, imaging techniques, sensors, and wireless networks. Employment is described across academia, industry, and research organizations, with placements in areas such as high-tech, energy, defense, finance, transportation, and government.
