Metropolia University of Applied Sciences’ Bachelor of Culture and Arts in 3D Game Art focuses on creating images, animations, visual effects, and real-time 3D applications with 3D graphics. The programme also includes 2D motion graphics and animation, traditional fine arts, and visual design.
The degree is taught as daytime contact teaching over four years and 240 ECTS credits. Learning is based on practical exercises, production groups that simulate work-life practice, large projects, and project work with work-life representatives in the final stage. The programme also includes a work placement or internship and a bachelor’s thesis.
Metropolia says the degree prepares students for further study at universities of applied sciences or universities, subject to institution-specific requirements.
