As a student of Game Design, you learn to design and produce games in collaborative development teams. The course covers game design and gameplay systems, level and world design, user experience and player-centred design, programming and scripting for games, game production and project management, AI and emerging technologies, and XR design for virtual, augmented and mixed reality experiences.
You use game engines, prototyping tools, programming, 3D tools, and immersive technologies. Metropolia University of Applied Sciences says the studies include client projects, simulated studio environments, and multidisciplinary productions throughout the programme. Students can also complement their studies with courses from other programmes and partner universities.
