Arcada University of Applied Sciences Tuition Fee Scholarship

Arcada University of Applied Sciences sets tuition fees for English-taught degrees and describes its scholarship and discount arrangements for bachelor’s programmes. Arcada says it does not offer general scholarships, but it does offer the Arcada Award based on non-academic activities and a separate scholarship for asylum seekers, refugees and people who have applied for temporary protection in Finland.

The Arcada Award is available only to bachelor-level students starting from their second year, and Nursing TopUp students are not eligible. Arcada says the award is given to a few students per academic year. For students who are asylum seekers, refugees or applicants for temporary protection and would otherwise need to pay tuition fees, Arcada provides a scholarship that covers the full tuition fee for the first academic year.

Arcada says the Arcada Award is granted on the basis of non-academic activities. For the asylum, refugee and temporary protection scholarship, applicants must provide documentation of their status to Arcada's admissions service. To keep that scholarship in later academic years, students only need to show that their status has not changed.

The asylum, refugee and temporary protection scholarship covers the first academic year only. Arcada says it continues if the student's status remains unchanged for each new academic year.
