Tampere University Tuition Fee Scholarship

Tampere University describes the Tampere University tuition fee scholarship as a highly selective award for merited, high‑achieving and motivated fee‑paying students. The University offers a limited number of these partial scholarships to support studies subject to tuition fees.

The scholarship is aimed at applicants to Tampere University bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes taught in English who are liable to pay tuition fees. Scholarships are awarded at admission and are not available in open university route or transfer applications. Tampere University notes that scholarships are not awarded in all programmes.

Selection is based on an academic overall assessment. According to Tampere University, all information and educational documents submitted with the admission application, as well as the scholarship application letter (if applicable), are considered and can be decisive. Only a limited number of the best‑performing applicants receive an award, and the scholarship decision is communicated together with the admission result.

Scholarships awarded at admission cover 50% of the tuition fees for the programme duration. Tampere University also offers an early bird tuition reduction for fee‑paying students who are not awarded a tuition fee scholarship, and a Graduation Scholarship for eligible bachelor’s graduates progressing to a master’s degree at Tampere University.

1. Complete the online application for admission to an English‑taught bachelor’s or master’s programme at Tampere University via Studyinfo.fi during the admission application period.
2. Within the same online application, indicate that you are applying for Tampere University Scholarships.
3. Submit all required application information and educational documents with your admission application.
4. Include a scholarship application letter, if applicable.
5. Submit the application; the scholarship decision will be communicated together with the admission result.
