• Merit Scholarship (Bachelor’s level): has paid for studies during the first year(s) at the University of Turku; for the 2nd study year scholarship, completed at least 55 credits during the first study year; for the 3rd study year scholarship, completed at least 110 credits during the first and second study years; achieved an average score of 3.0 or higher on a 1–5 scale; completed at least 4 credits of Finnish before first scholarship application (other prior Finnish studies or proven proficiency may be accepted case-by-case); must apply in the scholarship round.
• Fulbright–University of Turku Graduate Award: U.S. citizens accepted to one of the University of Turku programmes.
• Not eligible if exempt from tuition fees, including holders in Finland of: an EU Blue Card; a permanent residence permit; a continuous residence permit (type A) for purposes other than studies, valid at the beginning of the academic year; a long‑term resident’s EU residence permit issued in Finland to third‑country nationals; an EU Family Member’s Residence Card; or temporary protection status. Fees also do not apply to exchange students or doctoral programmes.
