Kajaani University of Applied Sciences describes its tuition fee scholarship arrangements as part of its tuition fee system for students who are required to pay tuition. The rules cover how tuition fees are paid, when scholarships reduce the fee, and what conditions apply to keeping or claiming the reduction.

4. For the Finnish-language scholarship, apply separately at the same time as paying the tuition fee between 1–15 August or 1–15 December.
5. Attach the YKI certificate to the Finnish-language scholarship application.
6. For studies started after 1 August 2025 and after 1 August 2026, attach the YKI certificate and the test assessment scale to the application.
