Tampere University Scholarships

Tampere University offers tuition fee scholarships for fee-paying students. The university describes them as a limited number of partial scholarships for merited, high-achieving and motivated applicants. It also offers an early bird discount and a Graduation Scholarship.

The tuition fee scholarship is available for applicants to bachelor’s and master’s programmes taught in English. Scholarships are not awarded in all programmes. The early bird offer is available to fee-paying students who have not been awarded a Tampere University tuition fee scholarship.

Selection for the scholarship is based on an academic overall assessment. Tampere University says all information in the admission application, including educational documents, and the scholarship application letter, if applicable, are considered and can be decisive. The scholarship decision is sent together with the admission decision.

The tuition fee scholarship covers 50% of the tuition fees for the programme duration. The early bird offer gives a €2,000 reduction on the first year’s tuition fee and applies only in the first year. Students who complete a bachelor’s degree at Tampere University may receive a Graduation Scholarship that gives a €2,000 reduction on the first year of master’s studies, provided they graduate within three academic years.

• For applicants to bachelor’s programmes admitted from the waiting list, the early bird offer is available only if there are two or more weeks left to the deadline for accepting the study place.
• For the Graduation Scholarship, you must complete a bachelor’s degree at Tampere University.
• For the Graduation Scholarship, you must graduate from the bachelor’s programme within three academic years.

• Tampere University tuition fee scholarship: 50% of the tuition fees for the programme duration.

• Graduation Scholarship: €2,000 reduction on the tuition fee for the first year of master’s degree studies at Tampere University.

1. Apply for admission during the admission application period.
2. Apply for Tampere University Scholarships with the same online application used for admission at Studyinfo.fi.
3. Submit all application information and educational documents with the admission application.
4. If applicable, include the scholarship application letter.
5. Wait for the scholarship decision, which is communicated together with the admission decision.
6. For the early bird offer, accept the offered study place and pay the reduced first-year tuition fee within two weeks after receiving admission information.
