Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Communications Specialist, the intern will:

  1. Develop and Publish Communications Material: Contribute to content creation for digital platforms, including the website, X, and LinkedIn.
  2. Social Media Campaigns: Support the development and execution of social media campaigns, highlighting results of partnerships with the EU and Belgium.
  3. #UNDPEUpartnership20 Campaign: Assist in the roll-out of the #UNDPEUpartnership20 campaign, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the UNDP-EU partnership.
  4. Content Management:
    • Collect, write, and edit content from Country Offices.
    • Organize information through the dedicated Trello platform.
  5. Photo Archive: Create and manage a photo archive documenting the EU-UNDP partnership.
  6. Documentation: Draft and consolidate documents related to communication initiatives.
  7. Event Support: Assist in the organization of conferences, forums, or collaborative events.

Competencies Required:

  • Strong organizational and research skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in social media management.
  • Knowledge of photo and video editing tools is an asset.
  • Interpersonal skills and a commitment to UN mission and UNDP mandate.
  • Computer proficiency in standard software applications (MS Office, Excel, Word, Powerpoint).

Required Skills and Experience:

Language:

  • Fluency in written and spoken English. Additional official UN language is an asset (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish).
