Background About UNOPS:

UNOPS is like the hands and legs of the United Nations. It helps the UN carry out projects for peace, humanitarian aid, and development all around the world. UNOPS focuses on different things like building stuff, buying things, managing projects, handling money, and taking care of people resources. They offer job opportunities in many different places and look for people who are creative and good at getting things done in different fields.

Overview of UNOPS Programme:

The Partnerships and Liaison Group (PLG) is like a support team for UNOPS. They work to make strong connections with different partners involved in everything UNOPS does. Their goal is to build good relationships and work closely with partners, both in the field and at UNOPS headquarters. The PLG wants to make sure partners are happy with how UNOPS does its projects and also bring in great ideas from experienced groups like non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and businesses. They even help gather resources for UNOPS from all over the organization.

The PLG is based in Copenhagen but has active offices in different places like New York, Geneva, Brussels, and Washington DC. They team up with partners such as the World Bank, the European Union, the Department of Peacekeeping Operations, the United Nations Mine Action Service, the United Nations Environment Programme, the Global Fund, the Millennium Challenge Corporation, national governments, and more.
