Graduate Diploma in Building Surveying

The Graduate Diploma in Building Surveying at Dundalk Institute of Technology is for people with current or prior experience in the construction industry who want to upskill or transition into roles as Building Surveyors, Design Certifiers, or Assigned Certifiers. The programme includes modules such as Building Appraisal, Law & Practice for the Built Environment, BCAR & Regulatory Control, Conservation and Maintenance, and Specification - Design & Analysis.

DkIT delivers the programme 100% online, Monday and Friday, within the hours of 9 am – 5 pm. Students study Full-Time, 2 days a week, or Part-Time, 1 day per week. The curriculum includes Industrial Practice or Work Placement (electives), and relevant work experience is recommended for students learning.

Entrants should have a minimum of a 2nd class honours degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Estate Management, Civil Engineering or a related (cognate) area.

Applicants who do not meet the standard entry requirements may apply for entry to the programme in accordance with the procedures outlined in the DkIT Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) policy.

International students must have a minimum level of English equivalent to IELTS 6.5. Candidates may be interviewed.
