The Bachelor of Engineering in Construction Engineering at University of Technology, Jamaica covers mathematics, sciences, human and social studies, and engineering analysis and design. It trains students to conceptualize, analyze, design, and develop construction projects. Students learn to plan, organize, and control project implementation while considering ethical and societal impacts. The program is delivered in person over four years at the Papine Campus and carries 137 credits. Graduates enter the construction industry in roles requiring civil engineering and project management skills and work closely with other professionals in the built environment.
5 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and two other technical or science subjects; plus 4 CAPE units including Pure & Applied Mathematics units 1 and 2 and Physics units 1 and 2; or 2 A-Level subjects in Mathematics or Physics; or successful completion of PCS; or Diploma graduates in Structural, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering; or graduates with B.Eng. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; or Associate Degrees in Engineering; or a combination of pre-engineering courses and CSEC/GCE O-Levels or other qualifications assessed for equivalencies. Interview may be required.
