This Bachelor of Science in Land Surveying & Geographic Information Sciences covers various branches of land surveying and geospatial sciences. Students study Geographic Information Sciences (GIS), Hydrographic Surveying, Cadastral Surveying, Engineering Surveying, and Global Navigation Satellite Surveying (GNSS). The course combines theory with practical elements including fieldwork, computer lab activities, and on-site visits. Students must complete structured professional practice and internships to develop workplace competencies over the four-year programme.
Five CSEC/GCE O-Level passes including English Language, Mathematics, and three other approved subjects. Preferred subjects are Physics, Geography, Information Technology, Technical Drawing, Additional Mathematics, or Elementary Surveying. Graduates from the Associate Degree in Surveying and Geographic Information Technology with a minimum GPA of 2.70 may enter with advanced placement into second year.
