The Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying trains students in key areas such as measurement of building and civil engineering works, bid documentation, construction cost planning, estimating construction contracts, along with research skills, professional ethics, and knowledge of the Built Environment. The program also includes a Project Management module and a Professional Internship to develop practical competence and interpersonal skills. Quantity Surveyors manage and control project costs, prepare tender documentation, negotiate contracts, and oversee financial control and subcontractors. The role involves working both in office and on-site environments and requires good human relations and logical thinking.
5 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes including English Language, Mathematics, and three other approved subjects. Preferred subjects include Building Technology, Electrical Installations, Chemistry, Physics, Additional Mathematics, Information Technology, Principles of Accounts, Technical Drawing, Geography. An interview may be required.
