Graduate Diploma in Trauma Studies Integrative Counselling

The Graduate Diploma in Trauma Studies Integrative Counselling is a postgraduate program that covers topics related to trauma and counselling. Students study modules including Introductory Psychology and other related areas to prepare for trauma counselling roles. The program runs for 18 months and is offered in a hybrid mode at the Papine Campus. It suits those with a background in psychology or related professional experience, aimed at preparing graduates for counselling work with an emphasis on trauma.

Applicants should have a first degree with at least 2.7 GPA or its equivalent. They should have prerequisite modules in Introduction to Psychology and one of the following: Abnormal Psychology, Social Psychology or Health Psychology. Applicants with relevant trauma-related practice experience may be considered through Prior Learning Assessment. Applicants should show awareness of emotional and mental well-being, motivation for study, and emotional maturity. Other professional certifications may be considered case-by-case with portfolio evaluation.
