Bachelor of Arts in Translation and Interpretation

The Bachelor of Arts in Translation and Interpretation prepares students to become skilled translators and interpreters in languages including English, Arabic, and French. Students study translation theories and apply them to various contexts such as law, economics, and media. The program emphasizes intensive language training across these three languages, with English and Arabic as primary and French as a third working language. The course requires completion of 108 credits covering liberal arts, core, major requirements, and electives. Students may focus on either translation or interpretation during their study. Remedial language courses may be required to ensure proficiency.

Students choose an emphasis in Translation or Interpretation. Proficiency in English, Arabic, and French is required, with remedial courses if needed where a grade of 'C' or higher is necessary.
