Master of Arts in Design

The Master of Arts in Design program targets students with a background in Visual Arts and Design or experienced professionals seeking to advance their intellectual and professional skills. The program explores the relationship between theory and practice, emphasizing managerial and professional aspects of project research and development in design. It allows for deep study of design contexts, history, theory, and international practices with attention to traditional and emerging technologies. Students engage in creative and technical exploration through pilot projects that undergo testing and revision. The program supports high-level research and examines the social and cultural dimensions of design processes.

Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in visual arts, design, or a related discipline and submit a portfolio for assessment and an interview. Candidates with unrelated bachelor's degrees may be admitted after meeting undergraduate admissions policies of the university. Full-time candidates must take at least 9 credits per semester, part-time candidates at least 6 credits per semester. Transfer of credits from other institutions is possible subject to approval and course equivalency, with transfer courses requiring a minimum grade of 80.
