Master of Arts in Political Science Ngos Emphasis

The Master of Arts in Political Science with NGOs Emphasis focuses on International and Civil Society Organizations, with specific attention to NGOs and NPOs. Students study the roles of NGOs in global governance, policy-making, and humanitarian efforts, including issues such as poverty, migration, and human rights. The program combines theoretical and practical approaches that include NGO management, global advocacy, and international development. It prepares students for careers in independent international, regional, local organizations, and other development entities, particularly in the MENA region and the Arab World. The course requires 36 credits, including core, major, and elective modules, and culminates with a comprehensive examination or thesis option. Applicants must have a BA in Political Science, Public Administration, International Affairs and Diplomacy, International Law, or related fields. A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 is required. Passing the EET Entrance Exam with a minimum score of 60 is mandatory. GRE may be required for non-NDU students. Non-major applicants might need to complete prerequisite courses such as IAF 211, POS 201, POS 210, PAD 201, IAF 321, POS 442, or IAF 401 depending on the emphasis.
