Master of Science in Actuarial Sciences in Partnership with Chedid Re

The Master of Science in Actuarial Sciences is designed to prepare students for roles in risk management, insurance, pension funding, credit risk assessment, hedging strategies, and portfolio management. The program combines academic theory with professional goals, aligning with actuarial credentials from societies like the SOA and FIA. It covers mathematical and statistical techniques, data analysis, financial modeling, and communication skills. Students complete 30 credits with courses aligned to professional actuarial exams and may apply theoretical knowledge in industry-based projects. The program suits students aiming for actuarial careers or advanced academic research, including doctoral studies.

Applicants must hold a BS in Mathematics or Actuarial Sciences with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or equivalent for acceptance; 2.7–2.99 GPA allows conditional acceptance. Conditional students may take up to 6 credits initially and must achieve at least grade B in these courses to remove conditions. Remedial undergraduate courses may be required; these do not count toward the degree credit total. Up to 9 graduate transfer credits may be accepted at faculty discretion.
