The Master of Science in Biology program provides advanced study combining coursework, laboratory practice, and thesis research. The 36-credit program includes 6 credits of thesis research, fostering independent research skills and preparation for careers or doctoral studies. Applicants must hold a BS degree in Biology with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Those with a GPA between 2.7 and 2.99 may be admitted conditionally, taking up to 6 credits in the first semester with minimum grade requirements to remove conditional status. Undergraduate remedial courses may be required, with a minimum average grade of B- (2.7/4.0). Up to nine graduate transfer credits may be accepted.
