Bachelor of Early Childhood Education Hons

The Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (Hons) at Brickfields Asia College studies child development, psychology, curriculum planning, and teaching approaches for young children and their families. Core learning includes areas such as educational philosophy, educational psychology, child growth and care, observation and assessment in early childhood education, managing child behaviour, and ethics and professionalism.

Assessment follows a 60% coursework (assignments) and 40% final exam structure, with teaching practicum as a key component. Students also use practical learning in real early childhood education settings, supported by practicum sessions for TASKA and TADIKA. The programme is delivered through conventional face-to-face learning with classes scheduled on weekdays between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Entry pathways include prior academic qualifications and an English test for international students. After completing the degree, graduates are eligible for advanced postgraduate study opportunities, including Master of Education, Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching & Learning, and PhD in Education, with pathways listed as ODL and conventional options.

A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum Grade C [Grade Point (GP) 2.0] in any two subjects, or its equivalent; OR

A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Jayyid; OR

5 Bs in Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) (including English Language); OR

Matriculation/Foundation qualification or its equivalent; OR

A Diploma in Early Childhood Education or its equivalent; OR

A Diploma in any field or its equivalent.
