Diploma in Early Childhood Education Conventional

The Diploma in Early Childhood Education focuses on child growth and development and the foundations of early childhood education. You study early learning and early environment, play, guiding young children, language and literacy, music, movement and drama, health, safety and nutrition, mathematics, social studies, arts and crafts, and special needs in early childhood education.

Learning is delivered through traditional face-to-face instruction with classes scheduled on weekdays, typically between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The practicum is a key assessment component and includes practical experience in both a childcare centre and a preschool, plus practicum teaching preparation through programme planning and development, administration and management, and observation and assessment.

• SPM/IGCSE or equivalent – 3 credits
• STPM – minimum Grade C (GP 2.0) in any subject or equivalent
• A pass in UEC with at least Grade B in any 5 subjects OR
• Any MQA approved certificate or equivalent
• Qualifications recognised by the University senate.
