Diploma in Early Childhood Education

The Diploma in Early Childhood Education prepares preschool educators for work beyond child care. Students complete field experiences through collaboration with childcare providers and early childhood education industries, building competencies and soft skills for working with young learners. The curriculum includes MPU courses, university courses, discipline courses, and electives.

The programme requires 90 credit hours to be completed within 2 years and 6 months (minimum). Study mode is available as Conventional or Open Distance Learning (ODL). The Professional Practice component includes Practicum 1 (TASKA) and Practicum 2 (TADIKA).

SPM: Possess Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with a minimum of THREE (3) credits in any subjects or its equivalent; OR

STPM: A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.0) in any subject or its equivalent; OR

STAM: A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul; OR

Certificate: A Certificate (Level 3, Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF)) in any discipline with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; OR

SKM / SVM: SKM Level 3 (MQF) in Early Child Care or Preschool. Applicants are required to undergo programme-specific screening and guidance conducted by UNIRAZAK; OR

Other Qualifications: Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Government of Malaysia.

Admission through Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL A).

A minimum score of Band 5.0 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS); OR A minimum score of 40 in the Internet-Based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT); OR A minimum score of 7.5 in TOEFL Essentials (Online); OR A minimum score of High B1 (154) in the Linguaskill Test; OR A minimum score of 47 in the Pearson Test of English (PTE); OR A minimum score of High B1 (154) in the Cambridge English Qualifications and Tests; OR A minimum score of Band 3.5 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET); OR Successful attainment of High B1 (154) in CEFR-aligned examinations by Cambridge English Qualifications conducted by the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE).

A conditional offer letter will be issued to an international student who has not yet met the English proficiency requirement.
