The Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ODL), awarded by Veritas University College, prepares students to support children’s growth and build an early childhood education career. Students study areas such as Child Growth and Development, Guiding Young Children, Play in Early Childhood Education, Language, Communication and Literacy Development, and Curriculum Planning and Development in Early Childhood Education.
The programme is delivered fully online (ODL) with live classes scheduled on weekdays from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Learning includes coursework and exams, plus project-based activities with partner preschools and childcare centres, workshops, learning visits, and applied work in classroom settings. Practicum includes 8 weeks in a childcare centre and 8 weeks in a preschool.
A pass in SPM or its equivalent, with a minimum of three (3) credits in any subject; OR
A pass in STPM or its equivalent, with a minimum of Grade C (GPA 2.00) in any subject or its equivalent; OR
A pass in UEC with at least Grade B in any 5 subjects; OR
Any other qualifications recognised by the university senate
