Diploma in Education Islamic Studies

The Diploma in Education (Islamic Studies) at Universiti Industri Selangor (UNISEL) prepares students to teach Islamic studies. It focuses on applying Islamic principles within modern education, using modern pedagogical approaches, and integrating technology in education. Students also learn curriculum development aligned with national and international standards, with an emphasis on language education theories and practices.

Students complete practical teaching experience through field placements in both government and private schools. The program develops classroom management skills, effective communication, problem-solving and critical thinking, and reflective practice. Support services include academic advising, peer mentoring, career services, and access to modern classrooms, computer labs, and libraries.

A Pass in SPM or its equivalent with a minimum of THREE (3) credit AND pass ONE (1) in Arabic language subject OR ONE (1) Islamic Studies subject; OR
A certificate in Islamic Studies equivalent qualifications recognised by Malaysian government

• Islamic Education Teaching: instructing in both public and private primary schools
• Islamic Educational Leadership: contributing to curriculum development, teacher training, and educational management roles
• Journalism, advertising, broadcasting, and publishing
• Islamic Educational Industry: assistant Islamic affairs officers at the state Islamic Religious Department; assistant mosque officers; imams and other occupational fields
