Diploma in Information Technology Cybersecurity

The Diploma in Information Technology (Cybersecurity) at Brickfields Asia College covers computing and programming, networking, and core security topics such as Introduction to Information Security, Internetworking Security, Secure Software, Information Technology Security Management and Audit, Systems Analysis and Design, Risk Management, and Introduction to Ethical Hacking and Intrusion Prevention. It also includes areas like Forensics in Digital Security, Internet Server Technologies, and Database Management Systems, plus elective modules and a final year project.

Delivery uses blended learning, with coursework, practical assessments, assignments, presentations, case studies, and final written examinations. The structure also includes internship industry-based training, with the final year dedicated to a compulsory internship. Students study through lectures, hands-on lab sessions, and online learning components, and they work on real-world projects and case studies.

Pass SPM / SPMV with at least credit in any 3 subjects, inclusive of Mathematics, and a pass in English; or

Pass IGCSE / O-Level with a minimum of grade C in any 3 subjects inclusive of Mathematics, and a pass in English; or

Pass UEC with a minimum of grade B in any 3 subjects inclusive of Mathematics, and a pass in English; or

Any equivalent qualification recognised by the government of Malaysia.

Those without a pass in Mathematics can be admitted but required to take pre-requisite Mathematics subject
