The Doctor of Education (EdD) is a doctoral programme in the Education Sciences. Students take compulsory courses such as Seminar in Education and Academic Writing. The programme also includes core courses on educational disciplines, including Assessment and Evaluation in Education and Education in Multicultural Society.
Students choose one elective course from School Leadership, Management of Higher Education Institutions, Teaching English as a Second Language, or School Discipline Management. The programme includes writing a 60,000–100,000-word thesis as required by MQA and has 80 hours of graduation credit. It is designed for people who want to conduct research related to teaching and learning and apply advanced leadership, professional, and management skills.
