The Doctor of Philosophy in Education is a research degree designed to develop research capability and scholarly practice for people who want to become researchers in Education. Students extend their development from scholarly understanding and practice to the capacity to conduct research within an area of interest in Education.
The programme is available as full time or part time and is delivered by research. The structure includes a core module in Research Methodology, with assessment mode listed as by research. It is intended for academic or professional staff (or graduate students) who may be teaching or working in higher education institutions and/or who are engaged in, or moving towards, leadership roles in the higher education or professional sector.
