The Doctor of Philosophy in Education is a teaching and training research programme. Students develop a critical understanding of advanced knowledge in the field of study or professional practice. The programme supports independent advanced research and produces research findings such as theses, patents, products, advanced professional practices or technologies, creative models or artworks, or music.
Students demonstrate the ability to present and defend points of view, thesis, and ideas with knowledge and confidence. The programme requires writing a thesis as prescribed by MQA. It is designed for a study programme length of 3–8 years.
A Master’s Degree, as accepted by the HEP’s Senate; OR other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s Degree, as accepted by the HEP Senate.
