Doctor of Philosophy in Management

The Doctor of Philosophy in Management at the Center for Postgraduate Studies (CPS) is a fully research-based program designed to develop and complete original doctoral research in management. Students work closely with experienced supervisors and complete a single taught component in Research Methodology. Research areas include strategy, leadership, innovation, sustainability, and organizational studies.

The program includes a minimum duration of 20 months. Study is available full time or part time. About 30% of face-to-face learning includes six sessions at the MUST campus in Kota Damansara, each lasting four days, while online classes are conducted through various platforms according to the KEDGE faculty members. The program awards credit value as 100% research.

This program is intended for people aiming for careers in academia, research, or high-level consultancy.

– Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
– Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 but below 2.50, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR
– Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and relevant working experience, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR
– Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre-requisite courses; OR
– A Pass at Level 7 Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) assessment by MQA; OR
– Other equivalent/related qualifications to a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) recognised by the Malaysian Government.
