Doctor of Philosophy in Management

The Doctor of Philosophy in Management is a research degree for developing research capability and scholarly practice in Management. It is designed for candidates who want to extend their work beyond scholarly understanding and practice to include the capacity to conduct research in an area of interest in Management.

The programme is delivered by research and includes a core module in Research Methodology. Full-time study requires a minimum of 3 years, while part-time study requires a minimum of 4 years. The intake period is all year-round.

It is intended for academic or professional staff (or graduate students) who may be teaching or working in higher education institutions, and/or who are engaged in or moving towards leadership roles in the higher education or professional sector. Graduates can work as public and private university academics, senior managers or directors, researchers, and roles in public and private research institutions.

• A Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) in non-related fields may require relevant working experience and an internal assessment
• A Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) in non-related fields and without relevant working experience, may require passing prerequisite courses

DIRECT ADMISSION FROM BACHELOR'S DEGREE (LEVEL 6, MQF)

• Will require an internal assessment and approved by Nilai University Senate.
