The Master of Information Technology (by research) at Nilai University prepares students to address organisation computing needs through advanced concepts and techniques in Information Technology. Research topics may include Advanced Database, Advanced Computer Networks, Programming Language, Knowledge Management, IT Governance, Business Intelligence, Computer Security, Advanced Project Management, Project, Advanced Multimedia Applications, Research Methodology in Information Technology, Interactive Systems Design, Intelligent Systems, Strategic Information System Planning, Computer Forensics, and Internet of Things.
The programme uses a by-research structure across five phases. It starts with a pre-requisite core course: Research Methodology and Statistics. Students then complete preliminary research, publicly present and defend a proposal, prepare the thesis through data collection, data analysis, and report writing, and finish with a Viva Voce to orally defend the thesis. Students can study full time or part time.
