Master of Science in Information Technology By Coursework

The Master of Science in Information Technology (By Coursework) at Malaysia University of Science and Technology equips students with technology and advanced skills across data science, blockchain, the Internet of Things, cybersecurity, software design and architecture, information systems, and network and communication technologies. The program is organized as coursework plus a project paper, with encouragement to undertake interdisciplinary projects.

Students follow a structured set of modules that includes Python Programming, Management Information System, Data Science, Research Methods, Internet of Things, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, AI in Business Analytics, Software and Design Architecture, and a Project Paper. Learning includes face-to-face sessions at the MUST campus in Kota Damansara and online classes delivered through platforms used by faculty members.

• Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
• Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 but below 2.50, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR
• Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and relevant working experience, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR
• Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre-requisite courses; OR
• A Pass at Level 7 Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) assessment by MQA; OR
• Other equivalent/related qualifications to a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) recognised by the Malaysian Government.
