Bachelor of Special Needs Education Major in Early Childhood Education

The Bachelor of Special Needs Education (BSNEd) with specialization in Early Childhood Education is a four-year program offered by the College of Education – Department of Elementary Education. It prepares students for teaching children with special needs in the early years (birth through eight years old). The program focuses on developmentally appropriate practices in early childhood special needs intervention and education.

Students follow a curriculum made up of education courses, special education courses, and general education and support courses. The program culminates with an extensive teaching internship in various cooperating schools and institutions, including public and private settings, local and international, under the mentorship of professional teachers.
