SUTD PhD President’s Graduate Fellowship

The SUTD PhD President’s Graduate Fellowship (PGF) is a SUTD-managed fellowship for graduate studies at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). It provides a scholarship that covers applicable tuition fees (for up to 4 years) and a monthly stipend.

The fellowship is open to all nationalities and is for PhD candidates. The monthly stipend amount depends on the candidate’s status: Singapore Citizen, Singapore Permanent Resident, or International Student.

CPF contributions are provided on top of the monthly stipend at a rate pegged to the prevailing employer’s contribution rate set by CPF. Awardees must perform teaching and/or laboratory supervision duties to fulfil requirements for subsidised fees.

Support for tuition is for up to 4 years. The stipend amounts shown apply with effect from 1 January, and CPF contributions are provided in addition to the monthly stipend, subject to the fellowship requirements.

• Applicant must be a PhD candidate.
• Singapore Citizen and Singapore Permanent Resident and International Student are eligible categories for the stipend amounts.
• Students must perform teaching and/or laboratory supervision duties to fulfil the requirements for the subsidised fees.

• Monthly stipend for PhD candidates: S$5,300 (Singapore Citizen), S$4,800 (Singapore Permanent Resident), S$4,300 (International Student).
• Central Provident Fund (CPF) contributions provided at a rate pegged to the prevailing employer’s contribution rate set by CPF, on top of the monthly stipend.
