LLB Hons Law Ljmu

The LLB (Hons) Law programme at SLIIT, awarded by Liverpool John Moores University, UK, includes core and option modules. It covers English law and legal principles through subjects such as constitutional law, criminal law, law of tort, contract law, plus areas such as international human rights, commercial law, and environmental law.

The degree is delivered over 3 years with weekdays scheduling and classes at Malabe Campus, Metro Campus, and LJMU Colombo. Students complete practical training in negotiation, mediation, and clinical legal education, and in the final year they undertake a dissertation or a clinical legal education module. Modules include mooting and legal advocacy, and mediation and negotiation skills.

Local A/Ls: Minimum of 3 “S” Passes in any stream & a “C” Pass for O/L English AND pass an Interview.

Cambridge/Edexcel A/Ls: Minimum of 3 “D” passes in any stream & a “C” Pass for O/L English AND an interview by the School of Law.

Applicants who have successfully completed the SLIIT Foundation Programme are eligible for enrolment into the programme. Applicants who have completed foundation programmes from other institutions may be considered, subject to approval by the University.
