Bachelor of Laws Degree Programme Llb

The Bachelor of Laws Degree Programme (LLB) is an undergraduate programme conducted by the Department of Legal Studies, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, at the Open University of Sri Lanka. Students work toward completing a total of 123 credits.

The programme duration is minimum 04 years. Admission is based on academic qualifications and includes a selection test. Tuition is calculated using a payment per credit of Rs 2,180/=, giving a total cost of Rs 286,140/=. Payment is arranged through installments per year, with the first installment set at 70% and the balance due after 6 months.

Have three (03) passes from any three subjects at one and the same sitting at the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Examination in Sri Lanka in any stream, or

• Have four (04) passes at the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) Examination (under the old syllabus, which has four (04) subjects), of which at least three (03) passes should have been obtained at one and the same sitting in any stream, or
• Have thirty (30) course credits at SLQF level 2 or above from any Programme offered by the Open University of Sri Lanka, or
• Attorneys-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka may seek direct entry into Level 4 of the programme, and they will be exempted from Level 3 of the programme, or
• Have an equivalent or higher qualification acceptable to the Seante

AND Pass the selection test conducted for the purpose of admission
