Bachelor in Life Sciences Biotechnologie

The Bachelor in Life Sciences – Biotechnologie leads to a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, Studienrichtung Biotechnologie. The programme focuses on applying modern methods from molecular biology, process technology, and analytics to produce industrially relevant molecules. It also covers cellular systems for producing and optimizing molecules, and biotechnological processes for cultivating biological systems in the lab and in production.

Teaching is delivered through in-person learning at the FHNW Campus Muttenz. The programme gives practical work from the first day in the lab, including data evaluation and professional documentation. It also includes working in regulated environments, for example in contexts such as GMP, GLP, or biosafety. Study length is 6 semesters full-time, or up to 12 semesters part-time.
