About this program

The Bachelor in Life Sciences – Chemical Engineering leads to a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences with a study direction in Chemical Engineering. The program combines chemistry, physics, and mathematics with engineering applications. Students deepen their knowledge in inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry and process engineering, with an emphasis on applying process and procedure techniques.

Teaching is offered in German and delivered through in-person learning. The program is full-time or part-time/while working. Students work on practical projects in the Process Technology Center (PTC) and in modern equipped laboratories. More than one third of the study program consists of lab practicals, industry projects, and research involvement. A placement semester in industry or research is required, along with an international option for the bachelor thesis.
