The Bachelor in Life Sciences – Pharmatechnologie is a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences with the study direction Pharmatechnologie. The programme focuses on how modern medicines are developed, produced, and controlled, with attention to innovation, quality, and regulation. You gain knowledge in chemistry, biology, physics, and mathematics with a focus on pharmaceutical applications.
Learning combines theory and practice. You work regularly in a laboratory and technical environment in the Process Technology Center starting from the first semester. The programme offers 180 ECTS points and is delivered with in-person learning at the FHNW Campus Muttenz.
After the degree, you can plan and optimise pharmaceutical production processes in laboratory and large-scale settings. The programme also supports work in pharmaceutical development and process engineering, quality assurance and quality control, technical project leadership, and work in a GMP environment, as well as roles in authorities or organisations with a regulatory focus.
