Master in Finance

The Master in Finance at University of Applied Sciences Solothurn Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) leads to a Master of Science in Finance. The programme requires at least 90 ECTS points, including 60 ECTS from mandatory modules and 30 ECTS from elective modules. It covers four competence areas: financial markets, financial management, methods and ethics, and practical skills.

Students can study in full-time or part-time/while working. Learning takes place through in-person and remote formats. The duration is 1.5 years / 3 semesters (fast track) or 2.5 years / 5 semesters (work & study). The programme includes lab modules and participation in the CFA Institute Research Challenge.
