The Master in Life Sciences - Analytische Chemie (Master of Science in Life Sciences) focuses on analytical chemistry for studying and characterising complex biological systems. You learn modern analytical methods such as high-resolution mass spectrometry and 2D-NMR spectroscopy, with an emphasis on strategies for the investigation, identification, and characterisation of metabolites, biomarkers, proteins, drug formulations, and biological tissues.
Study options include part-time studies for work alongside studies and full-time study. Learning takes place through remote and in-person teaching. The course includes an eight-month master’s thesis, frequently done in collaboration with industry partners. The programme allows individual study design by choosing modules, and an international option is available through a Double Degree or completing the master’s thesis abroad.
