About this program

The Master in Life Sciences in Applied Cell Biology prepares students for applied work in cell engineering and high-throughput assays. Students work with single-cell assays, complex microphysiological systems, and automated cell culture systems in the laboratory. The programme focuses on cell image analysis and analytics for high-content screening, process and analysis automation, and elective modules that support individual specialisation in areas such as bioanalytics and analytical chemistry.

Teaching combines in-person and remote learning. The degree is delivered with practical, research-oriented modules that include setting up automated cell culture systems and applying high-content screening in real projects. Students can complete an exchange term or their master thesis abroad. The programme leads to a Master of Science in Life Sciences.
