About this program

The Master in Life Sciences – Applied Cell Biology (Master of Science in Life Sciences) trains you to apply applied cell biology methods in laboratory practice. You work with single-cell assays, complex microphysiological systems, and automated cell cultures. The programme covers cell engineering and high-throughput assays, microphysiological systems, cell imaging and analytics, and process and analysis automation.

You follow practice-oriented modules where you set up automated cell culture systems and apply high-content screening in real projects. You also choose electives in Pharma Technology, Bioanalytics and Analytical Chemistry to define focus areas. The programme runs as full-time or part-time/work-study, with learning available onsite and online. It includes project work and academic writing and culminates in a thesis.
