The Master in Life Sciences – Bioanalytics (Master of Science in Life Sciences) is a full-time or part-time/work-study programme that trains you to specialise in modern bioanalytics. You study biomarker analytics (analysis, detection and identification of biomarkers such as small molecules, proteins, nucleic acids), modern molecular technologies (proteomics, genomics, molecular biology, microbiology and in vitro diagnostics methods), and diagnostic procedures (development and validation of methods for diagnostic use in a laboratory or clinical settings).
Learning is offered in onsite and online modes. The programme includes core competence modules, elective modules, and a thesis. It involves a total of 90 ECTS credits and requires earning 50 ECTS credits within the Bioanalytics specialisation module group. The thesis is an eight-month thesis at industrial partners, hospitals or international research institutes in Switzerland or abroad.
