The Master in Life Sciences – Bioanalytik leads to a Master of Science in Life Sciences. It combines modern key technologies such as proteomics, genomics, chromatography, mass spectrometry, biomarker analytics, and cellular imaging with practice-oriented projects. You study biomarker analytics, modern molecular technologies, and diagnostic procedures, and you choose from related specialization topics in analytical chemistry, applied cell biology, biotechnology, and pharmatechnology.
Study structure includes a specialization in bioanalytics with a total requirement of 50 ECTS (17 modules at 3 ECTS each), plus additional optional modules. Teaching uses remote and on-site learning settings. The degree includes a practice-oriented master thesis supported by an eight-month project with industry partners, hospitals, or international research institutes, either in Switzerland or abroad. A double degree option is available through partner universities, or you can complete the master thesis abroad.
The programme is designed for people aiming at roles in research and development, regulatory consulting, laboratory analytics, diagnostics, and environmental monitoring, across industry, academic settings, and the medical sector. It also includes components for scientific work and project methods, plus data analysis and visualization.
