Master in Life Sciences Chemieingenieurwesen

The Master in Life Sciences – Chemieingenieurwesen at the University of Applied Sciences Solothurn Northwestern Switzerland is a Master of Science in Life Sciences. The programme combines (bio-)chemistry, pharmacy, and environmental engineering with process engineering, including safety engineering and sustainability. It covers deeper knowledge in (bio-)chemistry, pharmacy and environmental technology, safety technology and sustainability, process development and optimization, and work with real issues linked to feasibility, efficiency, and social responsibility.

Teaching is delivered through remote and in-person learning. The programme runs full-time for 3 semesters or part-time/while working for 6 semesters. The master’s thesis is an eight-month project carried out with an industry partner or at the Process Technology Center of the university. Modules can be chosen individually, with optional areas such as biotechnologies, analytical chemistry, organic and supramolecular chemistry, and environmental technologies.
